Description

Ex-sergeant Jack Ford (played by Jame Bolan) returns back home to Gallowshields in Tyneside, disillusioned by his experiences in wartime France. But Britain is in recession and there is no work, so he sets about improving his luck - during which time he falls in love with Jessie Seaton (Susan Jameson).
