The Girlie Show is one of Madonna's best Tours! And Why is this great? Let's find out.


TRACKLISTING:
The tour is divided into 4 segments & these are:
I.SEX
1.Erotica (this song is what i would call "this is not a madonna song" for me & if you are under 15, skip this disgusting song!)
2.Fever (not as intense as Erotica but 2 gay dancers are dancing with Madonna, acctualy a good cover of PPeggy Lee's)
3.Vogue (lip-syched, due to the heavy headress she wears, very Middl-Eastern, simular to the Ambition's Like A Virgin)
4.Rain/Just My Imagination(this is not-really related to sex, but the song is amazing & steady. Madonna also performs Just My Imagination but I do not know why they decided to do that!)
II.DISCO/70'S
5.Express Yourself (not as powerful as Ambition's performence, but a good one. Madonna is sitting o na big disco ball & get's out wearing 70's clothing & a blond afro.)
6.Deeper And Deeper (as you see Madonna, the song goes "deeper & deeper" by lowering theirselfs & Madonna takes off the blond afro.)
7.Why It's So Hard (deeper & deeper they get & Madonna get's more serious during this performence.)
8.In This Life (Madonna singing about 2 friend of hers who died of AIDS, what se said "the greatest tragedy of the20th centery.")
III.MARLENE DICTRECH
9.Dancers Interlude: The Beast Within (I belive that this is Madonna's first interlude on any tour!) (but it is BORING!)
10.like A Virgin/Can't Help Falling In Love (this performence isw when Madonna has her German accent of Marlene Dietrech & once again has a medley.)
11.Bye Bye baby (this song should belong to the SEX part of the tour, not here!)(why?-because the song has sexual themes!)
12.I'm Going Banana's (so far this is the only tour that this song is performed, & Madonna & her dancing troupe are having fun for 2 minutes)
IV.THE HITS
13.La Isla Bonita(Madonna adds some Spanish-flavorin this tour & wears a black & white shirt during this sing)
14.Holiday(are you ready to join the military? well, Madonna says soin this thrilling military performence & forces all theaudience to say Yes Mam, Yes Mam)
15.Justify My Love(Madonna with a crazy outfit & performing this never performedin live ever again song)
16.Everybody Is A Star/Everybody(encore of the show when Madonna introduces the dancing troupe & band before they go. So hillarious when the 2 dancers refuse to leave at the show!)

As a result, this tour, even though not as succesful as the Ambition tour, is a brilliant tour & show's how "girli" Madonna is!

From the opening number showing a half-naked dancer sliding down a pole, you know this is gonna be fun. Where Madonna was serious & iconoclasticin Blonde Ambition & Drowned World, this much-overlooked tour is one of her best. It has a vaudeville, circus feeling to it, & it's basically Madonna having some fun.

At the time her career was going through a rough patch, but you can't tell from this. Her voice sounds much better than Blonde Ambition - witness 'Why's It So Hard' & 'La Isla Bonita' - she sounds great. She looks da bomb with a harsh crew-cut & her dancing is top-notch.

She flies through the likes of 'Erotica', 'Vogue', disco-style 'Express Yourself', Marlene Dietrich-style 'Like A Virgin' & even Military-style 'Holiday'. She sits down & harmonises with the best of them on 'Rain', & dresses like a man for 'Bye Bye Baby'.

This is sexy stuff. There's an onstage orgy, topless dancers & very gay themes to all the dances, this being Madonna & her art. But the overall theme is the party theme, & freedom of speech.

A hidden gemin an amazing career, The Girlie Show is classic Madonna.

Madonna is without a doubt the biggest artistin the world. In the video 'Girlie Show' she shows exactly why she is renowned as being that title. This show is one of the best concerts I have ever seen, it's very theatrical & very entertaining! It's definitly worth the money. From her sexy entrance through the floor during the opening number 'Erotica' to the finale of 'Everybody' Madonna keeps the crowd begging for more! Buy this today, you won't regret it!

Ignore any bad comments you may hear about this, or that her career was hitting an all time low at the point of this tour, this is madonna at her best. From her sexy entrancein Erotica, to her disco themein express yourself. Its all here. Theres even a sex romp for whys it so hard & a fab Army theme for holiday. My two favourite songs on here have to be fever (Madonna is having soooooo much fun on that performance!!) & the beautiful rain. Before i saw this, i immediately made assumptions that it wouldnt be as good as her classic blonde ambition concert, but this is everything & more. I just cannot wait for the drowned world concert video. Dont hesitate, buy it now!! Madonna fan, or not, you will not be disappointed. I guarantee it.

This is definitely Madonna at her finest. Shotin Australia it has classics like Express Yourself & Like a Virgin as you've never seen them before. Two hours of great concert footage & spectacular costumes, Miss it miss out!
