Actually this is an enjoyable enough movie for those who love Glenn Close or Ioan Gruffudd, & there are lots of fun elements to enjoy. The parrot who thinks he is a dog is an absolute scream, & the film itself is well made & well shotin my opinion. There is nothing really wrong with it except for the story itself. I can't even fault the script really...I think they did the best they could under the circumstances, & the actors all came up trumps...but as I say it's the story that lets the whole thing down.
Sometimes an original story based on established characters can work well (and has done), but this is not one of them. The storyin my opinion is far-fetched even for a Disney film, & rather daft, but allin all it makes the most of what it has, & will certainly entertain the kids & undemanding adults.

I'm struggling to understand why other reviewers for this appalling film don't point out the lifelessness of the main human 'romantic' leads; the self-parodying OTT performance by Glenn Close or the overall naffness of a sequel that just should not have been made. Infants may just like it, but they'd need to be pretty easily pleased. No - this film proves two things ... the current dirth of talent & imagination at the topin Disney, & the fact that unless sequels are based upon an established story, then they are generally best avoided. That's my advice for this film - give it the widest berth you can manage.

hmmmm not to my liking..My 5yr old loved it! Watch it & make up your own mind..But the whole film was typical of the others & nothing new..Sorry but not for me!

I found the sequel to be much better & fun than the 101 & loved the parrot who thought to be a dog & the puppy who fought to get her spots.It was great & i am ready to buy the dvd to check out the extra stuffin it.Enjoy...
Charming sequel that kids will love - By: , 18 Sep 2001 I took my 6 year old daughter to see this at the cinema, she loved it & so did I! Alright, so its a rehash of the original, but who cares? The love story is predictable but nonetheless sweet, Glenn Close obviously relishes her role as Cruella, Gerard Depardieu is brilliant as the demented M le Pelt (watch out for the fur jock strap!), & we get to see so much more of the the excellent Tim McInnery as Alonzo. Eric Idle voicing the parrot who thinks he's a rottweiler (trust me) is superb - the best characterin the film! Don't be over-critical, put your adult cynicism aside & watch this through the eyes of a child - charming! The video will definitely be on Santa's christmas wish-listin our house this year!
