Customer ReviewsNo Sparkle - By: Louise Armstrong, 06 Jul 2008 I bought this DVD to familiarise myself with the work before seeing Bryn Terfal sing the role with Welsh National Opera. Going by the DVD, I thought some of the singing was nice, but the whole atmosphere & story seemed a bit pointless. (It has one of those modern productions that don't seem to have much to do with the music.)WNO did it so much better!!! It is actually a great opera, but I didn't get much idea of that from this flat production.
