And i've collected quite a few dvds & books about the man, this is one of the best. I didn't know what to think after I saw the mixed reviews up on this site. But i've decided that it is a great documentary well worth owning - it's true it could have been shot better, & there could be songs on it as well. But as far as a documentary goes it's gold.

Very poor. Has no original music by Eminem, looks like it was madein the 80s & focuses continually on Eminem's uncle more than Marshall Mathers! Although the Eminem interviews are interesting, you get more shots of the tedious, Wookie-like music journalist, whose dated opinions & cheesy American idioms (pass me a bucket!) are enough to make any blonde angry! Ok - so it might have been madein 2001, but surely the 40mins of 'exclusive interviews' with Eminem himself make up for the passe aspect? In reality, there are only about 10mins! True Eminem fans will be bored by the documentary, knowing 95% of its content already - & will want to see more of their icon & his performing, or at least hear his music!

This is not the greatest biography I've heard. I am aware that it wasn't authorised, which probably accounts for the lack of original material, but allin all, I find it very dissappointing. There is nothing new on this video. And relies a lot on hearsay for it's facts. It's a nice little thing to have as an extra, but if you don't have it, you're not missing out on much.
Easily the best Eminem Video i've seen - By: , 16 Apr 2002 What an amazing video!! I have learnt so much about Eminem from this video, & there is loads of footage i've never seen anywhere else. I read the other reviews on the site & was a bit wary after such differing opinions, but after taking the plunge, i say the only rating for this is five stars. Miss it & its you that'll miss out!!
Fantastic!!!! - By: , 21 Mar 2002 I’m a huge Eminem fan & I have to get EVERYTHING ever released about him, so I bought this dvd – it’s much better than I expected & it contains elements that are not featuredin any book about him that I’ve got (and I’ve got a dozen by now!), such as a camerashot of the place he was brought upin or an exclusive interview of his uncle (well, not Ronnie, but you can’t bring him back to life, sadly). I think this dvd is absolutely worth buying, especially if you are a diehard fan like I am!
