28 years gone...still nothing - By: speedman, 22 Nov 2008
Led Zepin their prime 1968-1980, they had there chance for world domination, but they always wanted us to keep waiting for more. With little or no interviews, no singles, no videos, no live snipits on the old grey whistle test. They didn't count on their drummer snuffing itin Sep 1980. He unfortunately was the best part of the band. 27 years on they play at the o2 arena for just a few select people & couldn't even be bothered to release that on DVD. Good old 'you tube' helped out, but some guys shakey phone from aisle 150 just doesn't cut it. Then just when I thought it was safe there's jimmy page at the Bejing Olympics, fantastic (that'll be enough gigging for 2008 jimmy). Finally Robert Plant needs to wake up before he ends upin a retirement home wishing he had just done one last tour & album (with the best rock outfitin the land) before he meets his maker. In conclusion what you have on this DVD is some very good tracks well filmed from Madison Square Gardens backin 1973 (Led Zepin their prime) & the rest is just awful. I expect Jimmys doing yet another compilation of stock songs, butin another order. Sorry Jimmy but you should have done this live concert thing 30 years ago when you had the chance. Even 'the song remains the same' is painful to watch (live footage excluded). You were the best rock bandin the world, but there's very little good quality footage of it....such a pity.
What a whole lotta zeppelin - By: Alan, 29 Sep 2008
Well it's been a long long time for this to see the light of day but it has to go down as the best music DVD ever produced. The Led Zeppelin legend is captured herein all it's glory with superb sound & images. Starting with black & white tv shows from 1969 all the way up to a stunning huge open air Knebworth extravaganzain 1979 with everythingin between.
If you either saw the band live & want to re-live the experience or want to know why they are still idolised 40 years after their first get-togetherin Jimmy Page's River Thames houseboat then get this DVD-you will not regret it.

We have been waiting this for years.
Finally it arrived. A leave-no-prisoners DVD.
Watching to Jimmy performing his solo on "The Ocean" on his vintage Danelectro moved me to tears. And it's 39 years I'm listening to Zeppelin!!!
And what about acoustic "Going to California" & "Bron-y-Aur"?! And what about John Paul's lessons of bass playing!? Simply stunning. The reason for an amateur guitar & bass player to adore....
Buy it immediately. It's absolutely amazing value for the money!
Everything a Led Zeppelin fan could ask for. - By: T. Glover, 21 Jul 2008
Im a huge fan of Rock music ranging from Led Zep to The Who to Cream but watching this Led Zep dvd just sends chills up my spine, the DVD kicks off with probally the best peformance on the dvd with Led Zep playing at the Albert Hall, Jimmy Page is at his best, he shows why he's one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Plant is also great but he changes lyrics all most constanly on 'whole lotta love' & 'dazed & confused'.
John paul Jones is there providing the rhythm to a tee along with the star of the show John Bonham who shines throughout for his power & rhythm. His solo on moby dick is great but long & at times tedious. The second disc is great but not as good as the first. Page & Plant shine throughout but the rhythm section Jones & Bonham seem to be rather stiff to compared to the rest & Bonham's performances change from Legendary to just great. But apart from that the DVD is essential to anyone who calls them self a Led Zeppelin fan but it may be a little bit toin your face for someone just coming to grips with there music.
Sell your soul to the devil. - By: Mark Hilton, 29 Mar 2008
There are fewer more iconic bands than 'Led Zeppelin'. 300 million albumsin ten years, they must have been doing something right. As famous for their off-stage antics as for their performances, this compilation contains footage from 4 of their most famous shows.
Albert Hall 1970 sees the Zeppelin still finding their feet yet putting on one hell of a show. And it's a joy to see 'Bonzo' blast out his iconic drum solo 'Moby Dick' for 10 minutes non-stop.
Disc 2 has the bulk of 3 different shows spread across the disc. Madison Square Garden, Earls Court '75 & Knebworth, at a time when 'Led Zeppelin' were without question, the biggest bandin the world. Knebworth being particularly good & the last time the world would see 'Led Zeppelin' (well with Bonham at least).
There's loads of extras, & the picture quality is fabulous. But the real draw is obviously the four hours of non-stop Zeppelin. So climb the 'Stairway To Heaven' today. You know you want to.
