Excellent DVD - By: Mr. Richard J. Edenborough, 25 Oct 2008
If you have been going to a regular class, & have a basic level of ability & fitness this DVD will see you throughout your pregnancy. I used it minimum once a week & i am sure it helped keep back pain at bay. The DVd is broken down into three phases, quite often I would say to myself, I'll just do the first section & find myself enjoying it so much I'd finish the entire work out.
A happy customer - By: Dr. Claire Hitchings, 05 Jun 2008
I wasn't convinced I'd enjoy yoga as I'm a road cyclist & triathlete so if it doesn't hurt, then it's not worth doing. But I really enjoy this work out. I try & do it every few days & feel great afterwards - really stretched out. The time goes very quickly as each exercise moves quickly into the next.
Really great DVD for pregnancy - By: S. Hill, 26 Jan 2008
This is a great DVD for pregnant women. It is relaxing, & is ideal for preparing your body for labour. It's not too long like yoga classes tend to be, & is ideal for those of us who are already pretty fit but want to introduce some extra stretching & variety to support a healthy pregnancy.
I can't comment on its difficulty - I find it to be pretty easy to follow, having never done yoga before, but then again I am only 20 & already fit before I started. The main strain for me is hamstring stretches because I am guilty of not stretching after a run! I am finding the DVD brilliant, I wish I had started yoga earlier. And when my morning sickness was so bad I couldn't do anything else exercise-wise, I was able to do this. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I think women who are already good at yoga might find this DVD doesn't push them as far as they'd like.
Thank you Shiva! - By: A. Budd, 28 Nov 2007
I can not reccommend this dvd highly enough. I absolutely loved doing this routine daily throughout my pregnancy, the routine is wonderful for body & mind & left mein great shape & well prepared for childbirth. The recovery after the birth was also quick & I was ready for more yoga two days later. The poses are gentle yet effective & there are three variations for each stage of your pregnancy. I felt that Shiva Rea has a deep understanding of pregnant woman & her instruction is nurturing & not irritating at all.
Great sequences for beginner to advanced - By: The Mammy, 30 Oct 2007
I hunted high & low for a yoga dvd that offered a more dynamic workout than the usual 'gentle relaxation' fare & was really pleased with this. I used it throughout my second pregnancy right up to birth (and had an amazing birth which I credit largely to the strong, flexible body I had from doing yoga) & wish I'd had it for my first. I liked that it was broken into sections so that you could pick & choose if you were short of time & while initially I thought the 3rd trimester work loooked ridiculously easy, at 36 weeks I was glad to do something enjoyable, comfortable & strengthening. I highly recommend this.
