When I was a kid, I had a tape with Big Buisness & Beetlejuice on, recorded off the TV. Both COMPLETELY different movies but I loved & still love both of them.
Big Buisness is one of THE funniest movies I have EVER seen, I NEVER get boredin the slightest watching it. I will say that Lily Tomlin is great as Rose (both twins) but Bette Midler steals the show & makes Big Buisness the movie that it is, I would actually say that Bette Midler & Sandra Bullock are equal as THE best comedy actresses EVER, her character, Sadie (again, both twins) is hilarious!
The movie starts with an upper class set of parents & a lower class set of parents both going to the hospital to have their kids, they end upin a very small & basic hospital & the nanny mixes the two sets of twins up. The upper class twins end up running a very successful buisness which was their Dad's & the lower class set of twins end up trying to save their home town getting destroyed, except the upper class Rose & the lower class Sadie aren't completely happy with their lives & both want to do the exact opposite of what they're doing, it was as if they were seperated at birth, ha ha.
That's the basic storyline but it really is a brilliant comedy, Bette Midler may have a good voice & made a classic song with "Wind Beneath My Wings" but she is at her best when she is making a comedy movie.

I love this film - By: 80's film fan, 12 Nov 2008 I have loved this film since I was a little girlin the 80's, even had to buy it again on DVD. It has a simple plot but is a classicin it's own right. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon on the sofa. I wish they made more films like this these days.

Bette Milder & Lily Tomlin are pure gold to watch.
It's got a really simple plot, In a small town of Jupiter Hollow, two sets of identical twins are bornin the same hospital on the same night. One set to a poor local family & the other to a rich family just passing through. Then the story flashes forward to the 1980's where the mismatched sets of twins are about to cross paths following a big business deal to closedown the Jupiter Hollow factory. The film is shotin New York.
Bette Midler is Fxxxing brillantin this film & will have you laughing every second of this film as the poor Sadie,

I loved this film! Reminds of being a child & sitting at home with my mum while we were chilling out. It is a bit predicatble & a bit silly but what better way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon, curled up on the sofa watching a cheesy film!! Love it!

While there was nothing essentially wrong with this film, it was dated, with a cliched plot, & it is true to say you knew the end within the first ten minuites. That said it was watchable, & you can enjoy it, its just not one you'd want to watch againin a hurry.
