MOVIES THAT MAKE YOUR MOUTH WATER... - By: , 05 Jun 2005
Three films to keep you on the edge of your seat.
The 1st a wonderful remake of a classic story toldin a way that you keep wanting more & more.
The 2nd a failed pliot to a never seen Tv series, a sort of remake of the first but stands on its own two feet. Finally a 3rd film that sets the pace, wonderful story line , exellent actors, not as good as the first but still worth watching.
And for the price of these its a DVD set worth anybodies money.
Get it today but dont let the old folks see you watching it.
Not bad at all! - By: , 03 Jun 2005
Cruel Intentions was (is) an excellent film, Gellar plays an excellent role as the two-faced evil super-bitch & the film is generally excellent, aswell as something you want to watch more than once.

Cruel Intentions 2,in my opinion, is awful. The actors really aren't very good looking which instantly takes the point away of the "beautiful rich kid" image. What's more, the plot is really rubbish & the corny evilness is WAY overdone. Secret popular societiesin attics? Puh-leese...

Cruel Intentions 3 is a LOT better than 2...I wouldn't say it's quite as good as the original, but definitely worth watching. It's got really good looking people, several super-bitches...I think the charactersin here are more evil than the other films. The plot is adequate, though again you are conciously aware that this kind of manipulation couldn't occurin real life, things don't slot into place that easily - whereasin the original, whilst this was still true, you didn't really notice it. A good film though.

Builds Off the First, Ignores the Second, Add New Direction - By: Yahya S. Badaoui, 19 Jan 2005
First there was Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Choderlos De Laclos. Then there was Dangerous Liaisonsin 1988. This was followed by Valmontin 1989. We then had Cruel Intentionsin 1999 which moved the story to high school age. This was followed by a retellingin Cruel Intentions 2 that should just be ignored. Then there was the mega epic Les Liaisons Dangereusesin 2003 (more than 3 hours). Finally we have Cruel Intentions 3 (2004) that acts as a direct sequel to Cruel Intentions by adding a cousin & then sets the tale at a very bizarre college.

Cassidy is a cousin of the characters from the first movie. She & tease-object Jason like to play games. The games start quick & fast as it almost seems like everyone is out to doin someone else. There is no virginal targetin this one. That has been replaced with a faithful target (but definitely not a virgin). Oddly, she is the target of a third character named Patrick. Eventually the games of Cassidy, Jason, & Patrick do become dangerous (as well as cruel).

Unlike the first movie, however, while Cassidy is quite a snob, there is none of the evil cultured grace of the first film. These characters could have been anybody from any background. While the added Patrick dimension added a little originality it failed to make up for the loss of the evil cultured grace. I just hope we won't be seeing number 4.

great for teenagers - By: D. Mccracken, 15 Jan 2005
Cruel intentions is an amazing film & so was followed by two otehrs. The second one isnt actually very good because it is basically the first film with different people & has no effect on its audience. However the third film is absolutely amazing & could arguably be better than the first. I would recommend buying these if you like teenage love stories with a sexy twist. Dont watch with your parents
