Confessions? Try Lies. - By: Mark Baker, 05 Dec 2008
Mary Cep's (Lindsay Lohan) life has come to an end. Her mother had decided to move the family from New York City, the center of everything, to a New Jersey suburb. Mary just knows she will hate it.

The one good thing is she can go around & introduce herself as Lola, the name she feels really fits her. On her first day, Mary/Lola makes a best friendin Ella (Alison Pill) when they discover they both love the same band, Sid Arthur. But Lola quickly makes an enemy as well when she auditions for the leadin the school play. Carla (Megan Fox) has played the leadin every school play & doesn't take kindly to the competition.

Then disaster strikes & Sid Arthur announces they are breaking up after one last concertin New York City. Carla quickly announces she is going, & Lola just as quickly states the same. Now, can she & Ella get tickets & permission to attend? How will the play turn out?

And will the viewer care? My guess is, probably not. The plot is paper thin & predictable. The problem is that there isn't enough going on to make the viewer truly care about anything.

And the characters don't help. Lola lies about things other than her name for no apparent reason. While she does see the harm that causes along the way, it didn't really feel resolved to me. Ella is weak & wishy washy.

Finally, the movie ends with highlighting several of the songs from the school musical. While they certainly tie into the movie thematically, they serve no real purpose.

There is nothing worth seeing here. Pass right by & spend your time on a much better film.
A BIT BORING.... NOT LINSAYS BEST AT ALL -RUBBISH AND TRASH!!!!!!! - By: S. Arden, 12 Apr 2008
When I first watched this movie I wasn't very impressed at all & it was totally not at all instersting nor did it have a good realism either.
It is a real pity that Linsay Lohan has gone down hill. Most actresses do & Linsays one. She totally got carried away with too much money too early.
The movie is basicly about a girl Lola who has moved to Jersayin America from her beloved home NY!!She carries on as a real drama queen which just goes on & on...
I personally would not buy it, it is just a waste of money & time.

i liked it - By: Mo, 21 Aug 2007
i don't see why this film has so many bad reviews. it's funny, easy going & girly. even my dad found it funny & he's into stuff like star trek. i wasn't a huge fan of lindsay lohan given her reputation but i thought this film was a good laugh. yes, it's kind of silly but hello she's a drama queen that's the whole point. i love girly films/romantic comedies & i thought this was great.
RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!! - By: goldenlipgloss, 16 Aug 2007
This film was absolutely rubbish, after watching mean girls & freaky friday i was expecting something of that standard but instead you get a film that does no justice to the book at all. Most of the actors & actresses look wooden & the songs are cheesy. The frequent cuttingin of cartoon animated bits also make it look like its was a low budget movie. Do not buy it, if u really want to see it rent it!!!!
Confessions of a teenage drama queen - By: Amy, 30 Apr 2007
I loved the other linsey lohan movies like Mean Girls but this one was a complete let down. The character is not intresting & not a girly girl role model. It lets the author of the original book down. Do not buy it or if you want to see this yourself then please rent it & see how bad it is for yourself.
