Really disappointing - By: J. Bassett, 08 Oct 2007
I was hugely looking forward to watching these two so finally got them using the Amazon Rental thingy. People had been going on about how they weren't just for kids & what great films they were. Well, I'm sorry, but I just don't get it. They were both pretty dull. Thin plots, poor songs & musical numbers (apart from the last numberin Shrek 2), annoying characters (in a more realistic film someone would have shot the Donkey ten minutes in).

Maybe I'm just an old grouch, but I fell asleep twice during the second one & the first wasn't much better.

Two Shreks in one - By: L O'connor, 24 Jul 2007
Shrek is a big green ogre who is furious when the swamp where he lives is made into a reservation for magical creatures. He agrees to go on a quest to rescue beautiful Princess Fionain return for getting his swap back again. When he rescues the Princess, though, he finds himself fallingin love with her, although his job is to take her back to be married to obnoxious Lord Farquaad. Fiona, however, has a mind of her own, & a secret which may make a difference to all their futures. This is a delightful film, very funny, with good characters & a satisfyingly fesity heroine.

In the sequel 'Shrek 2' Fiona & Shrek go to visit Fiona's parents, the King & Queen of Faraway, who are not very happy with their daughter's choice of bridegroom. An evil Fairy Godmother is also determined to destroy their happiness. I found the sequel much less interesting than the first film, it is very sentimental & has far too much romance & not nearly enough action. Shrek is good fun, but this one is a bit dull by comparison.
brilliant modern-day ogretale - By: Mysticulous, 06 Jun 2007
i found all three movies hilarious, i'm not too keen on animated films but i make an acception for shreck cos, unlike most things aimed at children, it doesn't suck
cool movie(s), like pirates of the caribbean, i hope the saga goes on & on

These movies Shrek & Shrek2 sum up to one word, Brilliance. You can not get bored of watching these movies & if you have a low budget it is worth buying. There is also far far away idol which is the equivalant to pop idol & you can vote for your best act. There isn't anythingin the movies I do not like & is compatible for kids & adults.
