DISAPPOINTING AND FLIMSY STORYLINE - By: Mr. D. J. Furber, 31 Dec 2008
I should have taken more notice of the other contributors. This is a very flimsy story with no in-depth characterisation & therefore the viewer ends up with no great allegiance to anyone. Watching this film once is sufficient & it is not one that I would want to go back to.
Please Don't Buy This - By: M Ellis, 22 Jul 2008
Anyone wanting a interesting, well acted film - this isn't for you.
Anyone wanting a film with porn-like sex - this isn't for you.

This film is embarrassingly bad. I bought the DVD, watched it once & then threw itin the bin - literally. Certainly the worst film I have ever seen.

Save your money - do NOT buy this film!
Depends why you buy it - By: Easily ?, 17 May 2008
I bought this a while back for certain situations. When it goes into the player now, I never bother with the movie itself, just the deleted scenes.

Having said this, if you can sit through the ridiculously lengthy cast interview 'Extra', which switches between the two leads (and also between German & English), you get an awful lot of behind-the-scenes backstory - this is utterly hilarious & will probably surprise nobody who has sat through the 'film' itself. So I reckon I got my money's worth for the comedic value of the interviews & the slightly specialist nature of the Deleted Scenes.

Incidentally, there are English subtitles burned on throughout & no options for other languages (annoying when using the Zoom functionin the booking-in scene at the start).

In fact, the movie itself gains something if you watch the cast interview first, since you then get the truth behind the onscreen intimacy. But honestly, if I could live my life again, I wouldn't bother buying this movie - rent it, maybe, but not buy it.

I give this 3/5 as it's watchable enoughin its own right, & pause & slowmo could be used for extra fun, but it's neither offensive nor commendable. Sorry!
Bad acting and poor story - By: J. Pouwels, 28 Mar 2008
The one good thing about this movie is the main actor. He's very cute. For the rest don't bother.
More like Ripped Off - By: N. Poingdestre, 26 Nov 2007
I bought this recently at an airport dvd retail outlet as i was bored & the cover & synopsis pursuaded me to part with some hard earned cash. Talk about being Ripped Off. I was amazed to come home & find it was available on amazon, at more than half price I hasten to add. So before watching it out of curiosity I read all of the reviews, just to give me an idea of what to expect. Clearly the 'no's' have it as almost all of the other reviews are fairly accurate, although a four star rating is absurdly generous & should be discounted...the reviewer must have a thing for black guys and/or a prison fetish. I won't re-iterate, therefore, what the other reviewers have said other than to say that Marcel Schutt is the only reason this film gets any rating at all from me, as he is extremely cute & I forgive him his appalling acting as his cast interview shows that he has some artistic credibility & sincerity. But it is Mike, his 'romantic interest'and aforementioned black guy, who takes this film to giddying depths. He admits during the cast interview that his motivation for making the film was the money & I would opine that he was lucky the director didn't ask for it back - as I would have done so without any hesitation. His scenes had me cringing as they were so appallingly 'acted'. Another reviewer mentioned the soundtrack..this too is utterly appalling & all the way through it is interspersed with what sounds like one of those klaxons you get at football matches. In fact this film is so bad that it is almost worth watching for everything thats wrong with it, only I wouldn't wish anyone to waste their money or time on it. And don't be fooled into thinking there's lots of hunky guys working out & showering etc etc as those scenes are pathetic. There's more homo erotiscism on daytime TV.
