![]() Comparing Prices... Customer ReviewsWho'd have thought working out could be fun - By: Rumplestaleskin, 29 Aug 2010![]() I agree with other reviewers who have stated that two of the discs have the same workouts on each. Despite this drawback, the discs still constitute excellent value for money. I purchased these discs due to having similar on VHS several years ago: sadly the video recorder has gone to silicon heaven so an upgrade was a necessity. Energise & active has the same workouts but on one of those you get an additional 8 minute workout. There is a 'get ripped' disc (apologies, I haven't tried this one yet) & an 'abs & glutes' disc (not for the faint hearted). The 'Energise' & 'Active' workouts contain an instructional workout (approx 60 minutes). Do not skip this! You could complete the basic workout without consulting the demo but you the insight you get into correct technique & poise is unbeatable. Billy's manner is straightforward & the delivery is clear & concise. Billy has an infectious charisma that makes you want to master the technique & be the best you can be. Sometimes Billy fluffs his words: this is very endearing & shows that he is not reading dryly from an autocue. The instructional segment is one of the best, I've come accross, on a DVD & akin to a good class instructor. This guy knows his stuff & it shows. The basic workout lasts 30 minutes but the duration feels like 2 mins. I didn't clock watch once & actually found the workout enjoyable. The instruction section helps you to get 'into the grrove' quickly when it comes to attempting the routine. I sometimes came unstuck but not that often. Again, this is where the instructional workout comes into it's own as you find yourself constantly correcting yourself & Billy's pointers actually have some meaning. I found this workout of a moderate intensity. The advanced workout is more of the same but faster & with less instruction. You sweat buckets & have a good workout without feeling like you are going to die. Obviously these DVDs are old & therefore the setting, music & fashion sense are all old fashioned. Do not let this put you off as the workouts are still credible & stand up to current efforts. I highly recommend these workouts. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the disc duplication faux pas. I combine this workout with MOS Pump it up: lose it; burn it & Davina's Superbody workout. These workouts are,in my opinion, the best on the market. Same as the videos - By: Nush G, 21 Aug 2010 ![]() I bought this because I bought the VHS years ago & liked it. This is just a DVD version of the videos but it was cheap & I like the upgrade since my VCR is kaput. With dvd its easier to pause & skip & replay etc. Woo such a workout! Hard work but fun! - By: unazukin, 19 Aug 2010 ![]() I've had Tae Bo workouts before, but had got out of practice... These 4 DVDs together were fantastic value, & go from basic to advanced with various lengths of workout, so you can pick one to fitin with the time you have available. It's a compilation of other released DVDs, so if you already have most of them probably not worth it, but would be great to get into Tae Bo from scratch, building up to the advanced workouts. All of them give a full body workout, with one aimed specifically at Abs & Glutes (warning - it hurts like hell when you first attempt it!!) I LOVE them, & Billy Blanks is nowhere near as annoying as the instructors on "celebrity" workout DVDs. Double Time!!! Hi Energy, high motivation! - By: Estipuss, 05 Aug 2010 ![]() I have been going to Body Combat sessions which were great but often found it difficult to get to classes & missed so many I gave upin the end. I have bought & tried loads of DVD's & this is the BEST! If you want a high energy & high motivation workout this is for you! Its good to see not everyone on the DVD are ripped fantastic looking hotties. There are all sorts of peoplein the class & they work at their own level! This is one set of DVD's that if you keep up the work you WILL see results! Excellent Purchase - By: Maria Hermiston, 16 Jul 2010 ![]() Arrived really quickly, well packaged & is excellent value for money. For people like me who aren't too keen on keeping fit, it's a really upbeat collection which covers all ranges from the unfit beginner to the keep fit fanatic.
