Something for the Ladies? - By: Ultra Magnus, 21 Aug 2008
To be honest, I never thought any of the Blade films were triumphs of cinematic excellence, & so the story continues with this third installment of the series. Personally, I think it's an improvement on Blade II, some better characters joiningin Blade, & an intersting take on Dracula. Ok, so he doesn't have a cape & flap about biting nubile virgins which is a shame, but it's original to portray him as an - albeit pretty nasty - ancient warrior, but with a sense of honour for other great warriors (guess who we're talking about here folks).

So why something for the ladies? Well, a female friend of mine isin lust with Ryan Reynolds, so no doubt she appreciated the long spells of him toplessin this film. Plus, he does get all the best linesin the film - someone had to seeing as Blade says less & less by the film. Maybe Wesley Snipes was on a pay-per-word contract?? No wonder he couldn't pay his tax bill ;-)

To sum up, another entryin the series of Hollywood action/supernatural films, along with Van Helsing, Underword etc. It passed the time for me, so if you liked the aforementioned, you'll get something out of this.
Good but could have been better - By: Irikefe Okonedo, 20 Jul 2008
Second horror sequelin which Wesley Snipes again reprises the role of vampire hunter Blade who is himself half a vampire. This time around he is joined by fellow vampire hunters Jessica Biel & Ryan Reynolds of the self-styled 'Nightstalkers' group of vampire hunters, & they are out to destroy the original vampire himself, Count Dracula (played by Dominic Purcell) who has been revived from his tombin Iraq by a group of vampires after centuries of slumber so that they can learn how to bein the sunlight as he somehow can. But Biel & Reynolds's Nightstalkers do not want to kill Dracula just because of who he is: if they can kill him they will be able to get a sample of his blood & use this to perfect an artificial virus they have been working on that will wipe out the vampire race once & for all. This film was an enjoyable enough watch, full of the usual kick-ass martial arts moves & special effects for which the Blade franchise is known. Wesley Snipes is as ever effortlessly cool as Blade, & Biel & Reynolds make good supports. But despite this I felt that the main villain of the piece - Dracula - was not formidable enough considering who he was supposed to be, which weakened the film (I felt that the previous two Blade films had far more formidable villains). On top of this there is a glaring plot hole at the end of the film which weakened the film yet further. It is a compliment to the film's director that despite these flaws it is still a good film but that doesn't change the fact that it could have been better.
useless - By: martin thomas, 06 Jun 2008
the heights of blade's 1& 2 are not recreated here, instead director david goyer wraps up the series with this noisey, badly acted, badly written nonsense that undoes all the good work of the first two movies
Average third installment - By: Blue hunter, 19 Sep 2006
Not a bad 3rd installment of the vampire killing series.I'd say just about as good as part 1 & 2 but no more & no less.A good line-up of actors & actresses fronted by Wesley Snipes again makes this a watchable film, full of action & the odd funny bits thrown in.If you liked the first 2 films then i'd recommend this & even if you haven't seen the first 2 films then you'd probably still enjoy it as it's not really a follow on from the first 2 films & has it's own storyline.
Buy it if you Own the Other 2 - By: M. D. Hart, 02 Jun 2006
It is very difficult to be impartial when reviewing Blade Trinity because it really is a poor film. Without going into great detail because it isn't worth the words, it gets 2 stars becausein terms of fight sequences & special effects this film follows on quite nicely from Blade 2 but does not surpass itin any way. To be honest the worst thing bout this film is that it is just a big long swear-fest; there is a huge amount of name calling & swearing, to degrees that are unbelievably unnecessary & do not do anything for the plot. The inclusion of Paul Levesque (a.k.a. Triple H) was not such a bad idea because the guy is huge & can look the part of an adversary, but the fact that the only words he uses seem to begin with 'F'is really bad. Plus, he is supposed to be a vampire, undead & all that, yet he gets scared & runs away from a TINY dog. Ok the dog was a vampire (yes you read that right) but so is he so he should have no problems. Other problems with this film include the fact that Ryan Reynolds' does not fit in, Kris Kristofferson is cut out much too early & even Wesley Snipes is not up to the usual Blade standard; by watcing this film you will notice that Blade doesn't have the comic element presentin the first two films, & this makes Snipes come across as if all he wanted to do was get his pay cheque. Oh & one more thing, they bring Dracula into it. Please. It is a great shame because this film could have been fantastic, but unfortunately I have to say that you should not consider buying it unless you already have the other 2 & want to complete the trilogy. On its own, this DVD is pointless with a capital LESS.
