This 1992 Tsui Hark film is from a wuxia novel "Xiao Ao Jiang Hu" (Smiling & Proudin the Martial World)written by Jin Yong (Louis Cha).
The Ming period story continues from the first film about a carefree swordsman, Ling Wu-Chung (Jet Li) & his tomboy sidekick Kiddo (Michelle Reis). They eventually embark on a conflict with Hattori (Waise Lee)and his master, Invisible Dawn (Bridgette Lin), a powerful warlord who possesses the Sacred Scroll.
Why 4 Stars?
Lack of dvd extras & special features. Difficult to understand the film unless you've seen the 1st movie.

* At first, Tsui Hark wanted a man to play the transsexual Asia the Invincible, but later decided to cast the talented actress Brigitte Lin, a move which, according to Hark, "virtually everyone, including the author (Louis Cha), was vehemently against."

Pretty Good. - By: A. Gadney, 30 Jun 2007 Quite an odd start to the film that makes you think you have missed some of the story linein the first few minutes. Well perhaps because i havent seen the first one, unfortunately not with Jet Liin it but hell... i have ordered it anyway. Great film with a 'flying person' mystic style of kung fu, jet as fast as ever. Perhaps not the greatest of story lines but definately deserves a placein any martial art fans collection.
