REJECT THIS NOW - THERE IS STILL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - By: Mr. Garry Brown, 02 Nov 2008
Fancy making your life shorter by wasting some time on this little gem of a film? Yes? - Then there is no hope for you I'm afraid; just give up now. If the answer is no - well thats different. I watched this on the tv on saturday night & this film is simply awful. It had potential with the story & settings but threw it all away with non existent acting. Poor poor directing. Mis casting of good actors & a completly ruined blance between humour & horror. It just ends up being neither. But hey dont just take my word for it. I watched this with four of my friends & two got up & left the front roomin the middle. One left leaving me on my own 10 minutes before the end of the film. And me for my sins watched the ending & went to sleep feeling quite depressed. Oh yes the story. A group of sick violent poor actors mutilate a sheriffs brother & lots of other people, go on a killing spreein America & get killedin the end by the sherriff. For the males amoungst us you get to see some full nudity & a pretty pyscho girl who kills & gets her butt out alot. But for women I fail to see why you would even bother with this rubbish. Ive had more fun cutting my toenails & watching them get washed down the plughole when I turn on the tap.... - Well you get the idea. END.........
Awesome movie! - By: Baggiesfaninessex, 19 May 2008
If violent horror is not your bag, forget this. Some of the scenes are painfully graphic, but Zombie has excelled here where with House Of A Thousand Corpses, he was treading waterin comparison.

There are faults - let's be clear - as the continuity between this & the aforementioned prequel HOATC, doesn't totally add up. But that said, one wouldn't really need to watch HOATC to get total enjoyment from this movie. Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, Sherri Moon & William Forsythe each pack a powerful performance which adds real class to what is a clever mix of horror, western & road movie.

Special mention for the movie soundtrack, which absolutely rocks & fits the film perfectly. 'Midnight Rider' - The Allman Brothers Band, 'Fooled Around & Fellin Love' - Elvin Bishop, 'I Can't Quit You Baby' - Otis Rush & 'Rocky Mountain Way' - Joe Walsh are all super tracks which get accompany this great movie, but dare I say it, the best is saved until the final sequencein the movie. Panoramic shots of arid, rocky-sided roads, you feel as if you're flying above the final scene about to be played out, then you swoop down to live it & breathe it with the cast; there can only be one outcome - it's obvious - but for a moment, belief is suspended while the wonderful sound of 'Free Bird' - Lynyrd Skynyrd, unfolds from the speakers & the final battle commences.

It's excessive, it's extreme, it's unbelievable, yet it remains one of the best movies of its kind I've ever had the pleasure to watch. It took me by surprise the first time I watched it (I was expecting HOATC Part 2) & it continues to surprise me each time I watch. Zombie's masterpiece. 5 Stars.
mind spinning, crazyness... - By: Terry Bright, 14 May 2008
i love this film...and house of 1000 corpes...because they are so weird & there are lots of twists....devil rejects is better than house of 1000 corpes though..and the last 15 minutes is just brilliant....its another film i totaly reccomend...
not perfect but very good indeed.. - By: P. Ponias, 27 Feb 2008
very interesting film indeed.. miles better than zombie's first offering "house of 1000 corpes" that starts good but kind of becomes a joke eventually.. his first film did show glimpses of his talent, but ended up as a self-indulgent, overly bizzare horror piece that made little sense.. on the other hand this one is very well structured, has no holesin the plot & has a focused simple story that has a grittier edge but doesnt get ruined from too many weird visuals & uneeded nastiness & gore.. also it easily stands on its own & can be watched without seeing the house of 1000 c first..
Many of the reviewers here talk about how brutal, disturbing & nasty this film is but i totally disagree.. Its nowhere close to other recent offerings like the saw trilogy, hostel, hills hv eyes, even the new texas chainsaw etc..
unpleasant & dark yes but def not gory or gross as some here claim. i am not even sure it can be classified as horror...
great characters even if mainly one dimensional, especially great camera work- not overdone asin his first film, clever cutting/editing & most of all not just great, but superb 70s soundrack that makes this film a bit more special than what it really is..
the combo of the ending with the classic lynyrd skynyrd song played is i think genious...
not 5 stars cause at the end of the day there is not much depth, but other than that just great........

An excellent follow up. - By: Mrs. W. Chapman, 24 Feb 2008
Rob Zombie here cements his reputation as a great cult director, with this gory, western-tinged horror sequel to the decent 'House of 1000 Corpses'. It's well written & acted, & surprisingly watchable even for those who are not necessarily horror fans. Unlike many horrors, it gives the killers real motives, personalities & makes them quite likeable,in a sick kind of way. If you can take a step back from the violence & see the quality of the film, you'rein from a real treat here.
