Wow workout - By: Zara, 17 Aug 2008
This is the first pilates video I bought. The workout was a total body workout. The pace was just right & instructions were given clearly. I then bought the Lynne Robinson 'The Pilates Body' & I hated it because I strained a side of my body. Now I only use this DVD. Recommend it to anyone who is a beginner & wants to tone & feel great on the inside. Tracey Thompson is an excellent instructor.
Simple, fun and effective - By: Kate Massey, 12 Aug 2008
I had gone to a Pilates class & found it very boring & slow. This DVD on the other hand is upbeat & combines good stretches with enough movement to make you feel like you've been exercising. The instructor is pleasant & encouraging & the music is fairly neutral so it doesn't irritate. I liked the two different sections: standing & mat-based pilates, & the workouts weren't too long to be fitted into a hectic lifestyle. Sadly, there are only two routines, & some of the explanations are quite blink-and-you've-missed-them, (but I personally would prefer to have brief explanations to long-winded ones that will be soooo annoying when you are doing the routine for the third time!) Very good value. I'd thoroughly recommend this.
new to pilates - By: suezea, 30 Jul 2008
As a newcomer to pilates this dvd is excellent an introduction.
I was looking for gentle exercise following a hysterectomy having now got to that stagein my recovery. This dvd is certainly making me look & feel more toned after only two weeks.

Good Beginners Workout - By: Fubz, 17 Jul 2008
I have never done pilates before & I found this DVD a good introduction to it. This DVD is low impact (no jumping around) but you still work up a sweat so thoroughly recommend for a gentle introduction back to exercise. I didn't enjoy this workout the first time I did it but I carried on & after doing it now for at least 10 times, I do enjoy it & it is good for the days when you don't feel like jumping around & want to take it a bit easier. Also for £4, you can't complain if you only use it once!

Instructions are very clear & the woman presenting it always shows you the move before you have to do it. I doubt she got the figure she got just by doing this DVD though as she doesn't break sweat!
Enjoyable and effective... - By: G. Holmes, 10 Jul 2008
...however the teacher's muscular body was clearly not created by Pilates & her physical appearance could put off someone new to Pilates who does not want to look like a female Arnie...

Be asured this lady spends her entire lifein the Gym when she's not making Pilates DVD's; probably attached to some huge weight training gizmo.

That apart a keeper :)
