Excellent Pregnancy Workout! - By: Katy, 16 Nov 2008
Ok so maybe the outfits & hair doo's are a bit datedin this DVD, but that shouldn't deter you from purchasing this DVD.
I used this workout with my first pregnancy (when it was actually a VHS) backin 1999. I hadn't really done much exercise before getting pregnant but by week 14 I already felt the extra weight & was conscious of becoming a beached whale. I bought the video & did it religiously 4 times a week. I was backin my jeans 6 days after delivery!

Very dated - By: Mrs. J. Lovett, 20 Aug 2008
This is a very dated exercise dvd & very cheesy - I'm looking for a different one instead.
Worn out my video version! - By: JESS, 05 Mar 2008
I first had this when I was pregnant with my firstin 1997. Although the outfits are dated now the routines haven't. I've used a lot of Rosemary Conley & Beverley Callard DVD's between pregnancies & this particular DVD is very similar to the styles of these two other instructors.

The Y Plan is split into 4 sections. Toning & aerobics for trimesters 1 & 2 & then slower focused exercises & a relaxation section for trimester 3 & the postnatal workout (individual exercise section are only 12 minutes but will get you warm & mildly huffed & puffed). I'm not into celebrity high glamour super sweaty aerobics. If you aren't either & are looking for something more moderately-fit-girl-nextdoor friendly then you'll probably love this too.
The Y plan sees you through your pregnancy - By: KDee, 14 May 2006
I used this DVD ( then a video) for three pregnancies & have lent it to several mums-to-be. I am not a sporty type but did want to be fit during pregnancy. I never managed to use the part for the first trimester but it didn't make any difference as you can start at whatever part you like/or is suitable for you, so it's not too late to start even if you're well into your pregnancy.

The exercises are easy to copy & well explained & there is a commentary that is specifically designed to help you understand your body & how it works at this special time.
The relaxationin the third trimester is great & I used it when not pregnant sometimes!
Once the baby is born, it's hard to get out for a walk/run/swim or whatever so the final chapter really helps you get back into shape.

I like the Y-plan because it is realistic & you don't have to be an Olympic athlete to achieve the exercises & it only takes a few minutes out of your day.
