Classic - By: Thomas Munro, 13 Nov 2008
Simply put, this is a fun movie to watch & it never gets old. A middle aged storyline with modern twists. Lots of emotion & although it's cheap it isnt one of those rubishy knock off films you get out the bargain bin at Sumerfield.
Knights or Tennis players ? - By: Empe, 11 Oct 2008
A strange film. A "Midle Age" story of knights, love, chivalry & honour. With a rock soundtrack & a Tournaments' Leaguein tennis like style. A good cast, good action scenes. A film for children or teenagers? Perhaps. But if you search 2 hours of relax .....
We loved it! - By: Dr. M. Gray, 18 May 2008
Exciting, & realistic jousting, a hissable villain, a 'realistic' hero, excellent cameo turns, wonderful music, & - best of all - a film you can enjoy no matter what your age. If you haven't seen this you'rein for a real treat!
Fantastic romp - By: Ms. H. B. H. Hosegood, 11 Oct 2006
I have seen this film several times with different people, & everyone comes away from it feeling buoyant. Watch it with adults or children - there are no nasty surprises to worry about. It is hilariousin the British 'Notting Hill' tradition, romantic & exciting. The scenes of sword-fighting & jousting are great fun & the music uplifting. There is no attempt at historical realism, & yet this actually captures the sense of the time better than accurate mannerisms, clothing & language. For example, the serfs chant football songs at the inn, & sing Queen's 'We Will Rock You'in the stands, creating instant recognition & a sense of the excitement & comradship felt. Don't expect anything intellectual, just sit back & wallowin the fun. Geoffrey Chaucer, played expertly by Paul Bettany, surely has the best role.
