Independent cinema should not be this trying... - By: K. I. Quintyne, 14 Jun 2007
Great premise for a film - that could have be well developed... however, the cinematography, the acting, the screenplay & the direction have severely let this film down!!!
Not a good choice for anyone looking to have an enjoyable eveningin at home, with good bottle of wine & friends, watching grass growing might be easier to endure...
Chicken Tikka Masala - By: A. Metcalfe, 11 May 2007
What a disappointment. It had some great (and well known) actors & a good (if not very orginal) theme, but this is very much an example of what sets a "B" grade movie apart from something truley superb. Bad lighting, clumsy script, poor character development, awful music... it's all there. Worth comparing to a classic movie by Ang Lee on a similar theme called "The Wedding Banquet" - poles apart. It goes to show what a difference good directing & producing makes.
Utterly dreadful, but... - By: Ian Armer, 05 Feb 2007
CTM is a dreadful film. It's dreadful but is worth watching if you are a wannabe filmmaker. It's a good lesson (if nothing else) of just how badly you can screw up a oncein a lifetime opportunity when you've landed some private funding. That's how this film got made. It was made by people who wanted to make a film, but clearly shouldn't have. It's also a grand lessonin allowing yourself time to establish yourself & learn your craft before even contemplating a feature length flick like this.
CTM is a lame comedy about two gay....oh I can't be bothered. Think of every other successful comedy, strip it of charm, talent & wit & you have this rubbish.
Like I said, possibly worth buying if you want to look at how it shouldn't be done.
