![]() Comparing Prices... Customer ReviewsThe Genius; the 0 wins; the 2.5 wins (2 were @ home); - By: Paul J. Sanderson, 13 Jul 2007![]() This is surely US hype for the US market only; Edwards & Hayden are apparently great blokes, but sadly they haven't set the GP scene alight. (I am so disappointed for the lack of return Edwards has had, yet he is such a talented rider). Rossi as reported, is not featured heavily. There are many other DVDs - see Amazon reviews (Faster etc etc )- that are more representative of the 'supermen' who ride these machines. More Rossi please! - By: C. Prentice, 21 Jan 2007 ![]() This DVD is excellent, great behind the scenes footage of the riders. However it is mostly the American riders & considering Rossi gets 'top' billing he rarely featuresin it, compared with the likes of Hayden & Edwards. Commentary by Ewan McGregor is very easy to listen to, as someone who loves his bikes as much as any MotoGP fan. Average compared to "Faster" - By: Joe, 17 Jan 2007 ![]() I don't know if I was just having an off day, but I found this DVD rather boring. Having seen its predecessor "Faster" (which I found very enjoyable), & as an avid follower of bike racing events, I wasn't particularly entertained or gripped by the content. It should also be renamed to "The Hopper, The Tornado, & The Kentucky Kid", as the features with Valentino Rossi (aka "the Doctor") are far & few between, with hardly any direct interviews, & what looked like edited clips taken form here & there. It was strange to see so much of John Hopkins given he's not evenin the title. I actually went to the MotoGP at Leguna Seca, & having experienced it first hand, I just felt there was something lacking. Another "Must have" for Moto GP fans - By: T. Watson, 12 Jan 2007 ![]() Moto GP comes to California. A great follow up to "Faster" & a wonderful in-depth look at a Moto Gp weekend. The Film shows John Hopkins, Colin Edwards & Nicky Hayden as they approach their first ever home GP. Some great on & off-track scenes & very candid comments by the riders. The dodgy sound at beginning was a bit worrying but pretty soon you forget about that & just get engrossedin the action. I found the second disc a bit useless, but since the main feature & the extras on the first disc are so good I can't complain. Worth buying, but not as good as 'Faster' - By: Christopher Lachlan, 01 Jan 2007 ![]() A good synopsis of the return of MotoGP to Americain 2005 after an absence of more than ten years. Interesting behind-the scenes footage about Laguna Seca & the riders, but far too much of Hopkins & nothing from Rossi except what is alreadyin the Public domain. Obviously he didn't cooperate with the film's makers this time around (odd because they are relentlessly flattering about his talent), & didn't give any private access. There are some other noticeable omissions too, such as the way the track started to break-up over the weekend, the very negative comments about track safety from some of the riders, & the terrible traffic access for spectators. Some bad language, & no option to bleep it out for the benefit of young ears. The second disc has most of the race from multiple synchronised on-board sources, which is fun. Ewan MacGregor's narration is first-class as always, & justifies the purchasein its own right. If you don't already have its predecessor, Faster, suggest you get that first. If you were there, as we were, this is an essential memento.
