![]() Comparing Prices... Customer ReviewsEnjoyable and Fun - By: J. Mann, 28 Aug 2008![]() Almost everyone finds they get hooked on "Deal or No Deal" when they start watching it on TV. There are obsessive people who have watched every episode & fan websites that discuss the mathematics of the format & whether the banker is a real person. How does the detail of the real life show transfer into the game? Firstly, it is important that you are aware of, & preferably a fan of, the actual game, because part of the fun is to find yourself actually playing the game you have watched so often on the TV. People might think it isn't worth playing without the money prize at the end of it, but I don't agree. It isn't just a game of chance, although of course chance plays a part - but then chance plays a partin any game, whether it be football, cards or tennis. The skill comesin weighing up when to take the money. Hold out too long & you will end up with nothing or nearly nothing, take the cash too early & you may regret it. The game follows the same format as the TV show & is fun to play with the rest of the family - I recommend it. Good in theory, not slick enough in practice - By: I don't have a pen name, 29 Jul 2008 ![]() I enjoy the show but I'm afraid I can't recommend this product unless you are very patient. The main frustration I have with this game is the slow speed with which the DVD plays, I've tried this on 2 DVD players & it was just as slow on each. You answer a question & then the DVD takes a good few seconds searching around before it gets to the next screen which can prove very tiresome & really spoilt my enjoyment. There also seemed to be quite a lot of question repetition, though I did play this for a couple of hours non stop. However, after a couple of hours I was ready to throw the DVD right out of the window as the slowness spoilt what was otherwise a good game for me. With a huge slew of rather poor DVD family games this one is no exception. - By: James Petford, 17 Jul 2008 ![]() Now dont get me wrong, deal or no deal is a rather entertaining tv show with Noel giving a strong performance throughout each episode. I really wanted to like this but once again im left with a bad tastein my mouth: The Loading times are dreadful Questions keep getting repeated Its depressing to play. Trust me on this one save your money & just stick to the tv show, cause this just aint worth your time. the real deal - By: Ms. S. J. Smith, 26 Jun 2008 ![]() The DVD is an improvement on the original. Just like the show format you have to beat the banker. I have played this with my family & friends & everyone enjoys it, we have on occassion beat the banker, generally it seems to be who can lose the money the quickest, but its always a good laugh to see how far people will go when they know there's no real money involved. Good Game But Uninspiring - By: A. Rose, 12 Mar 2008 ![]() This is OK for a bit of fun but I found that I easily got bored with it, I'm sure that kiddies & two or more players would get more out of it than a single user. One of the main drivers for the great popularity of this on TV is that someone actually wins real money by the gambles they take. However, transfer this to your lounge on your own telly with no cash at the end & there is disappointment. In fact the last game I played I picked boxesin numerical order purely because it wouldn't make any difference to the outcome of the game as they seem to be pre-programmed & there is still no cash. I have given the game 3 stars because it is quite good but not great but I would give it 5 stars for the graphic qualities & looking as much like the real program as possible.
