Very efffective but personable as well - By: Saoirse, 28 Aug 2008
Having had Davina's two previous DVDs I was a shade sceptical about whether or not they would be able to produce anything different - yet remarkably, they have. Yes, many of the routines are similar (Pump, for instance, is very similar to a previous DVD routine) but what makes this enjoyable is that there is enough variation so that you can choose which sections to do. Oddly enough, although the 'Pump' sectionin this is quite similar to the 'Pump' sectionin her 30 minute workout DVD I still find myself choosing between the two. Evidently there is enough difference for me to find it tough to make that choice!

As previous reviewers have pointed out there are five sections - two which I would say are more aerobicin nature (aerobics & boxing) & three focused on toning. All are very effective & due to the options you can choose to do one aerobic & one toning section, or all aerobic, or all five plus the warm up & cool down if you have the time.

One of the recurring advantages I have found with Davina's DVDs are the periods of interval training. One of my favourite sections is the 'Legs' but I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to get through each of the three routines (each about five minutes, but even then, broken down into three or four mini-sections) if I didn't know there would be an interval coming alongin a minute to save me! They keep your heart rate up but give you just enough of a break, with whatever muscle toning section you are on, to be motivated to start again.

Overall, I would say that this DVD is aimed at maintaining motivation. I have had this for over a month now & using it regularly (3/4 times a week, varying the sections & occasionally using other Davina DVDs) I still find myself looking forward to my workouts. I would say if you are looking for a DVD that is either purely toning, or purely cardio some others might be more appropriate, but this is a brilliant general fitness workout which entertains at the same time. Yes, of course after the twentieth time the comments can become repetitive, but I often find myself simply using them as a sign that I'm half way through, or that the set is nearly over.

Lastly, I would say that personally I found the two trainers & one presenter format really useful. Davina is clearlyin great shape but she reminds you that it has taken about a year to achieve this. In addition, the trainers are friendly & encouraging & aren't there to make you feel inadequate! I'm still loving the fact that they've finally put a 'If you livein a flat' option to routines!
I love it ! - By: Lo77aine, 02 Aug 2008
I amin no way sporty, haven't done any exercise for years & years. After the birth of my second child last year I had piled on the pounds & was getting miserable. The diet was going well but I realised that I needed to actually get off my backside & do some exercise so I decided that liking Davina anyway, I would try out this DVD. I have never done anything like this before. I have to say that I think it is brilliant. The weight is falling off & none of the exercises are too difficult for me. However, I have not tried pump as I don't have any weights. All the other workouts are great though. I also like the trainers.
Overall, i would definately recommend this DVD to anyonein the same boat as I was. Yay!!!!!!
Brilliant for all - By: Ms. K. A. Macpherson, 19 Jul 2008
I bought this dvd last month as I made the promise to myself I was getting fit for good. I needed a decent dvd as my husband works long hoursin the summer so i cant get to the gymin the evenings. After losing 4 & a half stone by healthy eating, i was unimpressed by my lack of curves, but loved my shape.
The first time I did this dvd i was impressed. The section at the start where you get to meet the trainers jackie & mark is nice to have as you can get to know them before you start.
Davina to me is a normal girl probably with the same weight issues as the rest of us, yet she's toned, fit & looks absolutely amazing, especially after 3 children!
The dvd is handy if you only have a short period of time as its split into sections, so if you fancy doing the warm up (a must) then say the boxing & then abs, then the cool down, you do that as you please.
The pump section is brilliant, once i used to hate showing my arms off, now even on cold days i get strange looks as i still wear strappy tops, love my arms & shoulders!
You get a laugh throughout the dvd too, jackie & mark are lovely, mark even insists that you only have to lift weights to your breast level, if you are topless you dont need to go so high.....
Little laughs like that make the workout seem a lot easier & you soon get through it.
I completely recommend this, no silly diets, the workouts are do able, & I am enjoying the results, much more exciting that numbers on a scale, believe me!
I think it's more realistic to have a more day to day person doing the work outs rather than some stick thin one who is clearly underweight who just wants to posein some lycra....

It's brilliant!!
Great to have lots of options. Mix & match - By: Moderation??, 07 Jul 2008
This is my 3rd Davina DVD. I already have Power of 3 which is great if you have an hour to spare. I also have her 3 x 30min workouts which are great for during the week when I don't have an hour to spare. I was wondering what I would get from this latest DVD.
First the music is a big improvement on the other DVDs. Secondly I like the 5 different options. I can mix & match sections depending on my humour. As usual the set is excellent - clean, no distractions.
In all you get 120 mins of workout so that is good value.
Overall I'm very happy with all the Davina DVDs.
Hard work - but fun & worth it! - By: Zoe, 06 Jul 2008
I've owned fitness DVD's before & have found them to be repetitive, boring & uninspiring... & have, not surprisingly, very quickly lost interest.

This is the first 'celebrity' fitness DVD i've bought as i hate the whole celebrity culture thing & have refused to buy into it. However, i've read time & again how good Davina's workouts are & as celebrities go i don't mind her too much!

Firstly i want to say if you can't stand Davina (as i know many people can't) DON'T rule out this excellent DVD - one of it's extra's is a mostly music version with little vocal input from the lady herself!

This DVD is fantastic! The workouts are great & Davina & her trainers are really engaging. Davina isn't too proud to sweat or show when it's hard which is a real comfort when you feel like your own legs are about to fall off!

The workouts ARE hard... i'm very unfit & have struggled but throughout the sections you are shown 'easier' options to follow i.e stepping instead of jumping. You can do this long enough to catch your breath & then just joinin again with the more intense exercises that Davina continues to follow when you're ready.

Although hard work the DVD is fun! That's why i've continued to push myself instead of giving up - as i would have done with a dull DVD. Davina & her trainers are really engaging & entertaining... & watching Mark doing the 'Cha Cha' stepsin Warm Up had mein stitches! Watch it once but don't try to watch him whilst doing the exercises - you'll laugh too much to follow them!

I've only had the DVD a very short time & have already lost weight & noticed it's toning effect.

The best £12 i've spentin a long time!
