As other reviewers have noted, this DVD is a real let-down given what it could have been. Match highlights are exceedingly brief while the "off the field" coverage is nothing more than the standard, fairly bland, pre- & post-match interviews from broadcast TV.
To any genuine rugby fan it is a particular frustration on this DVD to hear endless comments on England's comebackin RWC 2007 being based on a "mighty forward pack" & then see nothingin the highlights of that forward power. In particular Sherdan was rightly praised for his destruction of the Aussie scrum but all the important scrums are missing from the highlights of that game.
The "England's Story" DVD of the 2003 RWC was far superior to this release & not just because England won that final, the match coverage was better & the interviews were much morein depth. There's little herein terms of England match highlights (the full French match aside) that aren't on the DVD review of the World Cup as a whole - & on that disc you also get coverage of the France vs All Blacks match & the classic Wales vs Fiji game.

It's a clinical colection of 'highlights', plus the entire French semi-final.
I was looking forward to reliving the humiliation of the Aussie scrum at the hands of Sheridan etc. but this is 'almost' entirely ignored.

Okayish but no more - By: Bookish, 27 Dec 2007 Spent too much time & moneyin France during RWC & looked forward to a decent record of what I'd seen.
The DVD is OK, but little more. It's a series of highlights but importantly, it fails to capture any of the atmosphere,tension & celebration. The commentary doesn't help at all - it sounds as if it has been added some time after the event - matter-of-fact & unexcited. Contrast it with ITV - occasionally way over the top (lights going outin Paris etc etc), but some real passion & involvement
So, OK, for one viewing ditto, but an opportunity lost

The press & pundits were all on their backs, calling them a bunch of no hopers but they nearly pulled off one of the biggest turnaroundsin sporting History. This DVD relives the best moments of all Englands games & shows how the team pulled together after the dissapointment of the south african group game to putin some truely heroic performances. The first DVD shows extended highlights across all of Englands World Cup tournament. The second disc,in this double DVD, is the full game with France, an unbelievable match which had us all dreaming of glory & If it wasn't for the width of a couple of boot studs on the touchline,in the final, who knows what might have been. The DVD captures brilliantly the atmosphere created at all Englands games & shows everything that is good about the English teams never say die spirit.

Waters, 27 Nov 2007 Being called 'Englands Story' I expected to see a 'Living with Lions' style dvd with interviews with the players, behind the scenes material just like it said on the case but all it contains is a few pre-match preview clips, with a word or two from an england player & then the tries or penalties from each match & thats it (First DVD 75min), on the second DVD (85min) it is simply the England v France matchin full, which is great but we've already seen this on the TV & its hardly 'exclusive material'. For £20 I hoped for a little more & was a but gutted. You might as well buy the whole world cup 2007 review DVD for the same price
