The content of this dvd is absolutely fine. The problem is that the second disc, the one where we actually won the slam, can't get past the menu. And that's on three separate dvd players. And after ordering a replacement disc from Amazon. Hopeless. I'm off to get a refund. Avoid!
Could have been good - but wasn't - By: Neil Chok, 19 May 2008 As a Wales fan livingin India I had all the games recorded live onto DVD & sent - thanks Mum! - but wanted to get this so that I could worship without juggling the disks... but it came & I found that the play back on both disks was jerky - every other second or so & so impossible to watch (regardless of which machine I played it on) - & the menu options on disk 2 did not work fully - so I sent the disks back. Sad - great potential content, rushed out, & not quality checked. I am sure that there is a metaphor for playing Henson at fly half there somewhere, but I can't spot it
Another rushed job - By: A. Davies, 28 Apr 2008 THere's no denying that Wales are the greatest rugby teamin the world as some of the enthusiastic reviewers are stating. And there's massive enjoyment to be had watching these DVDs of another great yearin the 6 nations for wales.
But we're reviewing the DVDs, not the rugby team. And the DVDs are awful. The 2005 DVD, whilst no masterpiece, is much better - hihglights of the games, presented by Ieuan Evans, chatting to Martyn Williams & talking heads from many others - it was a much better effort.
This 2008 set is rubbish. Just highlights from the game, each one introduced by some boyo voice over. It's a real dissapointment.
Look at the small print on the back & you can see that the production company isin Brighton, ENGLAND. Maybe a touch of sore losers, gutted at the prospect of having to do this job & making a total mess of it on purpose?
Hopefully next time BBC Wales can get the job & do it properly.
Still - you have to own this.

I pre-ordered this item because I was so tense watching the live matches that I didn't really enjoy the actual rugby. Although the dvd does what is says on the box I would have liked to have had some more interviews included. Welsh rugby is not just a game, it is a cultural festival that unites entire communities & I would have liked some of that energy to have been reflectedin the dvd. This is still a good dvd though & it was definitely more fun watching knowing that we won!! It's good value for money, & oh, did I mention WE WON!!!!!

I feel that this DVD has been rushed to appease those loyal, yet somewhat foolish Welsh fans who will 'grab' at all things rugby.
I had based this purchase on the Welsh biased 2005 DVD, which included the Ieuan Evans chat with M Ruddock, G Williams & the majority of the welsh squad. it even included the top 10 welsh tries.
This DVD, whereas it does include the BBC1 commentary of the England/ Scotland/ Italy etc is poorly linked by a second rate Richard Burton sound-alike.
If you just want to see the scores from the games, & save yourself some money, i would download BBC iPlayer & that will suffice. If not wait for a few weeks & I'm sure that someone (BBC Wales or even SCRUM V) will produce a better reflection of the historic Welsh GS.
