I don't have the DVD, but I do have the video. This is a wonderfully evocative & detailed glimpse of the very last days of this famous locomotive class. They are on their last legs, worn out & ready for scrap - but they remain dignified to the end. This BFI-sponsored film is a true 'fly on the wall' examination of a time now lost - a documentary without commentary, to make of what you will. As well as the locomotives, it features the men of the footplate & vividly portrays their love / hate relationship with these giants of the steam era. Highly recommended, this DVD is both short & sweet & I treasure my copy!
