I had heard a lot about this so was really pleased when this was released. A different parody to Blue Harvest, more like out-takes & behind the scenes hidden camera type of show. Some excellent sketches including Admiral Akbar cereal. Main issue I had was the length..... I has assumed that this was an extended episode like Blue Harvest, butin fact it was only around 20 minutes with the rest of the DVD taken up with unrelated episodes & extras, so for that reason only 4 stars for me.

So funny, I had to pause the DVD because I was laughing so hard, & I didn't want to miss a single second.
It's true what they say at the end of Family Guy Blue Harvest, Robot Chicken: Star Wars is far better & funnier Star Wars spoof. Standout sketches for me were Admiral Ackbar's cereal advert ("It's a trap!"), the 'true story' behind the arm-severing at the Tattoine bar, & the final show piece 'Empire on Ice'. A must for all Star Wars & cutting-edge animation fans.
Bring on the rest of the adult swim universe.

Excellent parody of the Star Wars film series (with notable cameos from George Lucas, Mark Hamill & the cast of Family Guy). This will complement your copy of Family Guy's Blue Harvest perfectly.
With some real memorable sketches, this is a classic!
THE WAIT IS OVER - By: Jean Valjean, 15 Jul 2008 Finally someone has had the sense to release Adult Swim DVDsin the UK. I've seen this episode already & I really recommend buying it & forcing your friends & family to borrow it (Actually I've heard a rumour it's got limited edition packaging, if so - best to tell them to get their ownin case they ruin yours!). I can't wait to see what extras it has. This is an absolute must for any lover of Star Wars. Personally I think it's much funnier & cleverer than Family Guy's Blue Harvest. Buy it now & you can proudly tell people you jumped on the wagon before it became a bandwagon!
CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS!!!!! - By: David Birch, 15 Jul 2008 I've already pre-ordered this & personally can not wait for it to come out! Not only is it a collection of the BEST Star Wars related parts from the series, but I read there'll be over 2 & half hours of extras on the special edition DVD including commentaries, deleted scenes & bonus adult swim episodes.
As a huge Star Wars/Robot Chicken AND Adult Swim fan i've been waiting for this to arrivein the UK for ages & it will be a great introduction to Robot Chicken series for those who haven't yet had the pleasure. I would recommend this to anyone whos a fan of Family Guy/Futurama etc I guarantee you will love it!!!
