Not being a cricket fan, I didn't know Henry Blofeld until I heard him on Desert Island Discs. What a character! And what a storyteller. This DVD was a revelation, he's a classic man-about-townin the manner of PG Wodehouse, & a great teller of tales whether of his homelife & upbringing or his adventuresin the world of cricket. He is that special something that is Forever England. Recommended.
Spellbinding - By: PS, 25 Sep 2008 I saw Blowers on stage earlier this year & this DVD has brought it all back to me. Quite magical. It is packed full on wonderful anecdotes about his childhood, his family, his friends and, of course, loads of Test Match Special stories. There is also a great interview with Henry talking about various aspects of cricket which was fascinating.

Crazy Cricket Tales - By: N. Edwards, 01 Sep 2008 Although I have not seen this 2008 DVD , I have got a 2004 cassette tape of the same name. I assume some/many of the stories told will be the same or similar with some new/updated ones we hope. His life story & then cricketing career.... Quite expensive for a dvd but cricket fans around the world will by this & enjoy it over & over again.....Blowers at his best Im sure.
