Although entertaining this mini series seems to be based on more fiction than fact.

The worrying aspect is that nowadays many people get their whole history from this type of media

Actually I enjoyed EMPIRE more than "Rome". The cast put on a wonderfully engaging performance & the gladiator fights were immensein there energy & realism. A thoroughly rewarding viewing experience.

I love these sort of series & I am a huge fan of ROME. This is a great retelling & one which has more than a few surprises. There was obviously a large budget to play with. I recommend this title to anyone who has bought ROME from HBO.
