Wonderful sound and visuals but lacklustre plot - By: Champak, 21 Nov 2008
Well, while blu ray experience & especially watcjing on 7.1 channel is wonderful but alas, PLOT is terribly confused. It doesn't make sense at all, but cinematography is gorgeous. In next 6 months, it will be available for less than £ 10.
Jolly Jones! - By: C. Kershaw, 19 Nov 2008
Excellent film. Even better watched a second time.

Why cant aliens bein a Indiana Jones film? Who says not?

Lucas based the original 3 on 1930s melodramas. But here he based it on 50s b-movie alien/monster flicks. It works so well.

The blu ray transfer is one of the best ive seen & it sounds fantastic also.

Sit back, relax & enjoy where the adventure takes you. Ace.
Great movie and a fantastic Blu ray - By: Robert Lough, 10 Nov 2008
Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is another classic Indy adventure which stands up extremely well to the first three moviesin the series. Those who were upset by what they saw as an 'unrealistic ending' obviously have never seen the ending to an Indiana Jones film! Put simply, this is classic Indiana Jones.
Now onto the Blu ray disc itself - the image is crystal clear & the sound is superb. There are also numerous making-ofs & trailers. The only thing that would have made this release even better would have been a commentary track by Steven Spielberg & George Lucas.
Allin all, this is a great movie & if you are a true Indiana Jones fan, you won't be disappointed by this.
fun, but Indy showing his age . . . - By: Sood, 28 Oct 2008
This movie is lots of fun to watch, but it doesn't take itself seriously & probably shouldn't be part of the Indiana Jones canon. Harrison Ford is a great actor, & I loved most of the previous movies, but he's getting a bit oldin the tooth for the stunts he was supposed to be doingin the film & I was a bit dissapointed, especially towards the end where the film just spirals off, & seems to loose the plot altogether. I'm sure there probably is still a lot of people that might enjoy this film, but both my missus & myself give this an unfortunate thumbs down.
Hennery Jones ... Junior, part time teacher - By: B. Chandler, 25 Oct 2008
Wow it is all there, the formula the action the mystery & the frillier actors. If that is not enough we have new actors of great caliber & some new one liners to repeat to friends & family. Everything that made the original Indiana Jones films has been intensified.

Karen Allen's character is just as cut & feisty as ever. It takes a couple of double takes to realize that Col. Dr. Irina Spalko is the Academy Award wining Cate Blanchettin a Natasha outfit. I could go on but it is time for you to see for your self.

My favorite scene is where Indy is being showered down, hosed off & scrubbed. Watch closely as he is being scrubbedin a private part of his anatomy & has to make a broom adjustment.
--------------------------------------
It is the height of the Cold War. The Ruskies are looking for an upper hand. Naturally they look for the super natural or inter-dimensional physic advantage. And of course they get Dr. Hennery Jones Jr. (much older Harrison Ford) to unwittingly play into their hands. With the help of a young sidekick Mutt (Shia LaBeouf) he must find a crystal skullin an effort to free his kidnapped associate Henry Oxley (John Hurt). In the process he has to navigate between two independent women Col. Dr. Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett) & Marion Ravenswood (Karen Allen.)

Watch the movie to find out the mystery of the scull & if Indy, oops Hennery Jones Jr. will succeed or stick his fedorain it. Bring your ant spray.

I have to admit I waited for Blu-ray so I can not compare to non Blu-ray versions.
