Totally love this series, but it really comes to lifein Blu Ray, crank up the surround sound, turn the lights off & enjoy!

Seriously, I HATE this series. I havent watched the film due to the first one being terrible. I'll admit I gave the books a read & watched Twilight, but really you dont see Dracula sparkle & be a loving creature blah blah blah. They're suppose to be scary! Well if you want something more vampire like with a much more interesting storyline check out the Legacy Of Kain series (even though its a game series the storyline is epic), Blade or Underworld series, which are REAL vampire films (& games) which own this damn film. I'll probably get flamed for this review by fanboy & fangirls but still, dont waste your time on a rubbish series which is changing what a vampire really is.

I agree with the reviewer who says she's 38 & loved the whole Twilight saga. It transcends age. I'm 60 with a grown up family & I'm completely addicted to it! I'd actually bought the books for my 13 year old granddaughter for Christmas 2008, & peeked inside "Twilight" to make sure that a 'vampire' book was suitable for a 13 year old, & just got completely hookedin ..... & I couldn't put the books down 'til I'd read all 4 from cover to cover. The love story between Bella & Edward is pure magic, up there on a par with the greats - Lizzie Bennett & Mr Darcy, Romeo & Juliet, Cathy & Heathcliff, etc. I've read all the books heaps of times & watched Twilight so many times I've lost count; I just never tire of it. The New Moon film was eagerly awaited & while it's good, & the effects are stunning, I felt that the actual love story between B & E didn't come across as strongly as it didin the Twilight movie. There are partsin the New Moon book - particularly where B has her "epiphany" after they come back from Italy - that move me to tears, they're so breathtakingly beautiful. Of course we all know that a film has to be a very condensed version of a book, but some things are just too pertinent to miss out; not just the "epiphany" scene, but there's a lot of humourin the books (eg Edward carrying Bellain Twilight when she faints at the sight of bloodin a Biology class) that is completely missed from the films. The fact that Edward has "a bit of a temper" & is sometimes arrogant - very relevant to the storylines & building a complete picture of a character - is also completely missed from the film versions. Having said all that, I absolutely love the books (and the films to date). Stephenie Meyer is a genius. One last gripe though - what happened to the beautiful song "Let Me Sign" that Robert Pattinson sangin the Twilight filmin the scene where Bella had been attacked by vampire James?? Why, oh why, wasn't it included on the CD??????
